Unfortunately Government Funding does not cover the costs of our education to those children most at risk. We need additional funding to be able to offer the kind of education we would like to provide. The costs of property rental, staff salaries, administration, vehicle and transport, etc. are beyond what we receive from the Ministry, so any financial assistance that you could give the Centre would be greatly appreciated. Volunteer
The Centre has three and a half paid employees, but there are gaps and we would welcome your help to broaden the range of topics we can offer. In the past we have had art tutors coming in from time to time, bone carvers and jewellery makers, cooks and drama teachers – all of these have added something to the variety of our programme, and invariably one or another of the students have been able to excel in a new way. We would be grateful if you were willing to share your special interest and expertise with the young people during their afternoon activities.

All volunteers will have to meet with the Centre Leader and be subject to NZ Police clearance.
